Supported Data Sources (Overview)

The overview shows which data sources are generally supported. Further information can be found on the detail page.

Databases

Oracle incl. Geosupport

  • We recommend using the latest possible long-term release version.

  • Oracle versions that are supported by Oracle itself with Extended Support are supported. Cadenza should also be able to run with versions that are no longer supported with Extended Support, but no quality assurance is carried out for this, so functionality is not guaranteed and Disy does not provide general support.

  • Overview of the versions supported by Oracle:

PostgreSQL/EDB and PostGIS

  • We recommend using the latest PostgreSQL/EDB version.

  • PostgreSQL/EDB versions that are supported by Postgres itself are supported. Cadenza should also be able to run with versions that are no longer supported by Postgres, but no quality assurance is carried out for this, so the functionality is not guaranteed and Disy does not provide general support.

  • Overview of the versions supported by Postgres

  • For PostGIS, the PostGIS version released with the PostgreSQL version is recommended (see Postgres-Wiki)

Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL)

  • We recommend using the latest Microsoft SQL Server version

  • MSSQL versions that are supported by Microsoft itself in mainstream support are supported. Cadenza should also be able to run with versions that are no longer in mainstream support, but no quality assurance is carried out for this, so functionality is not guaranteed and Disy does not provide general support.

SAP HANA

The support for SAP HANA is currently in beta only, so the functionality is not guaranteed and Disy does not provide general support.
  • Tested with SAP HANA 2.0 Express Edition and driver version 2.17.12

  • The driver is not included in the Cadenza distribution. ngdbc.jar can be used and must be stored in the following locations:

    • in the lib directory of the Cadenza web application (<cadenza_installation_directory>/cadenza/WEB-INF/lib/)

    • in the libs directory of the Database Migration Tool (<cadenza_installation_directory>/tools/database-migration-tool/libs/)

    • if necessary in the Docker container (see Installation via Docker)

Search and Analysis Engines

  • Elasticsearch

    • Developed, tested and quality assured with the official Elasticsearch release from elastic.co in version 7.17.0

  • OpenSearch

As long as there are no changes in the used part of the REST API, future versions should also be supported.

Geodata Services

  • WFS

    • tested with GeoServer (1.0.0, 1.1.0, 2.0.0), QGIS (1.0.0, 1.1.0), ArcGIS (1.0.0, 1.1.0, 2.0.0), Mapserver (1.0.0, 1.1.0, 2.0.0) and Degree (1.0.0, 1.1.0, 2.0.0);

    • requires the adaptation of the server configuration
