Enabling Access to Data

Access to Databases and Geodata Services

Cadenza enables access to databases and geodata services (see Supported Data Sources (Overview)). Depending on the database or geodata service, a corresponding edition feature must be enabled.

With the feature for a specific type of physical data source enabled, Cadenza data sources can be defined which Cadenza needs to access the physical data sources of this type: Authorized users can add repository data sources in the Management Center and system administrators can add cross-repository data sources via configuration (see Data Sources).

We recommend storing data as much as possible in the main data source in different schemas (with the same database user).

Access to Files (via Import into the Cadenza Data Store)

The following table shows the supported import formats with their associated file types and required Cadenza features. Files can also be provided and imported as archive files. Supported archive formats are ZIP and KMZ.
