This page documents how Cadenza editions and features relate to available functionality and which configuration is associated with those features.

Analytics Extensions

  • Feature ID: ANALYTICS_EXTENSIONS

  • Description: Analytics extensions are web services that extend Cadenza with additional analysis functions and visualizations, for example methods developed in Python or R. They can be integrated and managed in the Management Center and are used to enrich existing objecttypes, generate new objecttypes or provide additional visualizations.

Map Animation

  • Feature ID: MAP_VIDEO_ANIMATION

  • Description: The filter assignment can be animated on the map. When generating the animation, the filter assignment is changed step by step along the value range. The animation can then be played back in a player.

Movement Data Analysis

  • Description: Movement data can be displayed as a movement profile, analyzed using the integrated player, and viewed in a 3D view.

Spatial Filtering

  • Description: Cadenza can be configured for anonymous use, optionally with an additional login option.

HTTP Basic Authentication

  • Feature ID: AUTHENTICATOR_BASIC_AUTH

  • Description: A simple authentication method can be used in which the username and password are transmitted in a standardized way via the HTTP protocol.

HTTP Header-Based Authentication

  • Feature ID: AUTHENTICATOR_HTTP_HEADER

  • Description: Cadenza can read identity data directly from the headers of an HTTP request to automatically log in users. This is particularly useful when the application is operated behind a reverse proxy or a security gateway that already handles authentication centrally.

JWT Authentication

  • Description: A token (JWT) issued by an external authentication service can be used to log in to Cadenza.

LDAP Authentication

  • Feature ID: AUTHENTICATOR_LDAP

  • Description: Username and password can be verified by Cadenza directly against an existing LDAP directory.

OIDC Authentication

  • Feature ID: AUTHENTICATOR_OIDC

  • Description: A central login service already available in the organization (such as Keycloak) can be used to log in to Cadenza. When accessing the application, the user is automatically redirected to this familiar login page. After logging in there, the user is returned directly to Cadenza already authenticated, so that no separate login in Cadenza is required.

SPNEGO Authentication

  • Description: Cadenza can automatically recognize the user’s existing operating system login (e.g. Windows login), so that no additional password entry is required when accessing the application in the browser.

Dashboard and Repository Development

Embedding Communication

  • Feature ID: EMBEDDING_COMMUNICATION

  • Description: Embedded Cadenza content and the embedding custom application can communicate with each other in both directions. The custom application can trigger actions in Cadenza and react to events, for example the creation or editing of geometries.

Embedding Filters

  • Feature ID: EMBEDDING_FILTERS

  • Description: When Cadenza content is embedded in a custom application, filters can be set and changed from the embedding application, including spatial filters. This allows embedded views to be aligned with the current context of the custom application.

Interactive Lifecycle Management

  • Feature ID: LIFECYCLE_MANAGEMENT_INTERACTIVE

  • Description: Cadenza content, such as repositories or workbooks, can be exported and imported manually via the user interface. In addition, repositories can be duplicated.

Interim Statuses

  • Feature ID: INTERIM_STATES

  • Description: Users can capture the current status of a workbook including their unsaved changes and filter settings without having to save the workbook itself. They can save personal interim statuses for their own use in the workbook and share anonymous interim statuses as a link, for example for a support request.

Layer Catalog

  • Description: Prepared map layers can be provided centrally in the layer catalog and managed in the Management Center. Users add the layers they are authorized for to their workbooks as references, so that central changes automatically take effect everywhere.

Management API

  • Description: The Management API can be used to automate administrative tasks that would otherwise be performed manually in the Management Center, for example transferring repositories and system settings between system environments. This allows Cadenza to be integrated into existing deployment and operating processes.

Query Logger

  • Description: With the Query Logger, users can log and view the duration and other relevant metrics for data queries performed when loading and using data views.

Simplified Usage Mode

Sketch Layer

  • Description: Using a sketch layer, graphical elements such as points, lines, rectangles, and similar shapes can be drawn and texts can be added in a map view.

Address Geocoding

  • Feature ID: GEOCODING_ADDRESS

  • Description: For an address or other location information, the coordinates and thus the position on a map can be determined using an OpenLS-compliant geocoding service.

Address Geocoding (Batch)

  • Feature ID: GEOCODING_ADDRESS_BATCH

  • Description: Using an address geocoding service, the corresponding coordinates and thus the positions on a map can be determined for postal addresses (geocoding). The addresses of an entire dataset are processed in a single operation.

IP Geocoding

  • Feature ID: GEOCODING_IP

  • Description: For IP addresses, the estimated geographic positions of the computers or mobile devices that used them can be determined using an appropriate service (IP geocoding, IP geolocation). Disy offers such a service with the Internet Metadata Service (IMS).

Reverse Geocoding

What3words Geocoding

  • Feature ID: GEOCODING_WHAT3WORDS

  • Description: Using a what3words geocoding service, the coordinates and thus the position on a map can be determined for a three-word address in the map view (geocoding).

  • Description: Pixel-perfect, predefined reports created with TIBCO Jaspersoft Studio can be embedded in a workbook as a view. Users can display or download the report there and restrict the data using filters if required.

Reports
